Float glass is a sheet of glass made by floating molten glass on a bed of molten tin. This method gives the sheet uniform thickness and very flat surfaces. Modern windows are made from float glass. Most float glass is soda-lime glass, but relatively minor quantities of specialty borosilicate and flat panel display glass are also produced using the float glass process. The float glass process is also known as the Pilkington process. Figured Glass Also known as "patterned" or "ornamental" glass, figured glass is generally produced by the rolling process (see "rolled glass"). The surfaces of the rollers used carry the pattern or design to be "imprinted" in the glass as it passes between them. The process gives the glass a textured surface on one or both sides. The surface finish may be both decorative and functional. Apart from the huge variety of patterns possible, figured glass can also offer light dispersion and glare reduction characteristics. Frosted glass is produced by the sandblasting or acid etching of clear sheet glass. It has the effect of rendering the glass translucent by scattering of light during transmission, thus blurring images view while still transmitting light. The frosted glass effect can also be achieved by the application of vinyl film, used as a sort of stencil on the glass surface. "Photo-resist", or photo-resistant film is also available, which can be produced to mask off the area surrounding a decorative design, or logo on the glass surface. A similar effect may also be accomplished with the use of canned frosted glass sprays Other available glass is Thicker Glass, Reflective glasses Companies Sejal, Tata Asahi, IAG, Bharat Glass Tube, Gopal Glass, Sumangal, Saint Gobain, Mody e.tc.; All sizes available
